Join in giving thanks to God for the time that Father Maurice Emelu has spent with us at Our Lady of Peace and in thanking him to his service to our parish over the last two and a half years. Father Maurice will celebrate a farewell Mass on Sunday, August 19 at 11:00 AM. Following the Mass there will be a reception in his honor in the back of the church or on the plaza in front of the church (weather permitting.)

Father will temporarily move to Irondale, Alabama to produce his new show for EWTM, “The Faith with Father Maurice.” After taping the show he will begin work on a doctorate in communications.

We all join in wishing Father Maurice good luck wherever the Lord may lead him. We also, with one voice, remind him that he always has a home and a family eager to see him again at Our Lady of Peace.
