"The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them. When they saw him, they worshipped, but they doubted. Then Jesus approached and said to them, "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." (Matthew 28-16-20)
These final words of the Gospel of St. Matthew continue to inspire us today as they did the disciples who first heard them from the lips of our Lord. We also hear his call to share and spread the good news that He is risen and He is Lord! We evangelize in so many ways - most of them unknown to us. St. Francis of Assisi told his followers that they should preach the gospel everywhere -- using words if they had to! Another saint admonished his followers that they might be the only gospel others would hear.
Each one of us can spread the good news. At the right hand side of this page are links to a few of the ways we spread the good news as a parish at Our Lady of Peace.
